Our anniversary is in March, but we had Grandparents in town the first few days of May. Rod and Anne were willing to stay with the kids, so we took off to Corpus Christi (a beach town about four hours south). We rented a condo on the beach and had a wonderful time. We saw some beautiful sunrises and did a couple work outs on the beach--we figured if it worked for the Karate Kid, it would work for us.
Corpus has a well known aquarium, that was okay, and an amazing museum on the USS Lexington.
My favorite part of the aquarium was this Macaw. He would show off and do tricks.
The USS Lexington was an aircraft carrier, so they had a lot of WWII planes. Here I am practicing to be a Blue Angel. The Blue Angels were an organization of female pilots who flew domestically during the war. The blue plane is one of the girl's jets.
It was hard to capture how HUGE this boat is.
James got excited every time we went over this bridge. His engineering soul was touched by it's beauty.
James and I had a great time. This yearly tradition of a childless vacation is a good one. Love you Honey.
